By Car:

From San Jose follow the Interamericana Highway until gas station Shell-Limonal. Continue there to river Tempisque and cross the new bridge "La Amistad" until to Nicoya. From Nicoya to Samara is 38 km / 24 miles.

By Bus:

Bus leaves every day from San José at 12:30 p.m. from Alfaro Bus Station, 150 meters north west from the Coca-Cola station. The cost of one way ticket is $7 per person and the trip is approximately 5 hours long. We advise you to buy tickets one day in advance.

Shuttle:

Companies as Interbus, fantasy bus and Montezuma expedition offer daily service form San Jose and destinies to Samara. Prices are around $39 per person average.
